Project Overview

The High Sheriff of the West Midlands website needed a complete redesign for the incoming High Sheriff’s year in office.

While the existing site contained valuable content and records of events from the previous tenure, the new High Sheriff wanted a more modern and visually appealing platform to reflect his own initiatives and focus areas.

My challenge was to create a fresh design while ensuring continuity of information.

I began by auditing the existing content to identify key pages, events, and announcements that needed to be retained.

The new design was crafted to feel more contemporary and engaging, while still honouring the traditional role and civic importance of the High Sheriff.

The website’s structure was reworked to provide clearer navigation, making it easier for visitors to explore current and past events, read news updates, and learn about the role of the High Sheriff.

I implemented a clean, responsive layout that works seamlessly across all devices, ensuring accessibility for a broad audience.

Search engine optimisation was carefully considered, with metadata and content optimised to support visibility for community roles, civic events, and High Sheriff initiatives in the West Midlands region.
