Project Overview

Timber Built Dartmouth designs and builds bespoke garden rooms, outdoor kitchens, timber saunas and modular extensions, alongside carpentry, joinery and home renovations across South Devon.

I had previously worked with Joe when he was based in the Midlands. After relocating to Devon, he approached me again to create a new website and provide SEO for his Dartmouth-based business.

The brief was to give Timber Built a professional online presence that reflected the quality of its work, explained its range of services and helped connect the business with homeowners across Dartmouth, the South Hams and surrounding areas.

My Approach

I designed the website around the natural materials and considered craftsmanship at the heart of Timber Built’s work. Warm, earthy colours, generous spacing and large images give the site a distinctive identity while keeping the presentation clear and approachable.

With such a varied offering, the content needed to help visitors find the right starting point. The homepage introduces three main reasons customers might contact Joe: creating more space, making better use of the garden and improving their existing property.

Dedicated service pages then explain the individual options, from insulated garden offices to bespoke joinery and kitchen renovations. Practical information and frequently asked questions help visitors understand what to consider before discussing a project.

Local SEO was part of the website’s structure and content, with clear service headings and a consistent focus on Dartmouth and South Devon. The “Where We Work” page also explains the areas Joe covers, helping visitors establish whether their project is within reach.

Throughout the site, clear calls to action guide visitors towards a conversation. The project enquiry form captures useful details about their location and ideas, while telephone and WhatsApp links offer alternative ways to get in touch.
