Project Overview

Fibraxis is a pioneering biotech spin-out company from Aston University, focused on developing cutting-edge biomedical solutions rooted in academic research.

This was the third university spin-out website I’ve created — and the second for Aston — giving me a solid understanding of how to translate complex, research-led ventures into accessible, engaging digital platforms.

My Approach

Working from a clear brief, pre-supplied content, and an evolved logo created by local brand designer Laura Anne Design, I focused on delivering a clean, confident site that allows the science to take centre stage.

The goal was to create a simple, fast-loading, and visually clear site that could effectively introduce Fibraxis to potential investors, collaborators, and stakeholders.

The layout is intentionally minimal and elegant, with space for content to breathe and for visuals to carry weight. It was important that the site feel professional but not overly corporate — reflective of the team’s academic background and the innovative work they’re doing in biomedical research.

With SEO baked in from the ground up, the site is structured to support discoverability without overwhelming visitors with technical content.

Clear navigation, intuitive structure and considered copy all help communicate credibility from the first click.
