Holly Lane United are a successful local junior football team, of which my son happens to be the captain.

With the start of the new season and competitive games beckoning, I thought it would be great to make them a website where we could record all of their achievements over the course of the year and beyond.

Rather than settling for one of the many large local amateur team websites, I decided to create my own using a Content Management System. This allowed me the scope to incorporate exactly the features, layout and colour scheme I wanted to and not to be tied in with the templates offered by other sites.
